St. Kevin's Oratory

We value simplicity and stillness as a way to hear God's voice. Taking our example from the early Celtic Saints, we too have created a space for this purpose.

St. Kevin (498-618 AD) lived as a hermit in a cave in Glendalough, Ireland where he could experience the solitude and silence that he was seeking.

Disciples were soon attracted to Kevin and over time he built a small oratory nearby. He practiced detachment from material things in order to free his inner eye and spirit and see a bigger picture. He sought to see as God sees.

Oratory:
a small chapel, especially for private worship.
